Junior Ranger Adventure Program

Liam JR RangerBecome a Niagara Falls National Heritage Area Junior Ranger Today!  The Junior Ranger program is an exciting opportunity for youth to interact with the tremendous history, culture and natural surroundings in Western New York.  Junior Rangers can learn the role Western New York had in the Underground Railroad and the War of 1812.  They can dive into history at Oakwood Cemetery and Old Fort Niagara.  Whether it is understanding the extraordinary ecosystem of the Niagara River or exploring the rich culture of the Haudenosaunee, the Jr. Ranger program provides plenty for everyone. 

To get started pick up a complimentary activity book at one of the following locations:

For every 10 activity pages you complete, you will receive a commemorative button marking your accomplishment.  As you visit more sites and complete more activities, you will earn more rewards.  When you complete the entire book, you will receive your official Jr. Ranger certificate and badge.  Commemorative buttons, rewards and the official Jr. Ranger badge can be acquired at the same locations that are listed above.  The following sites are the official sites for activities in the Junior Ranger program:

When you pick up your activity book, be sure to get an official Niagara Falls National Heritage Area Junior Ranger lanyard and be ready to start earning your buttons and badge!

Complete 20 activities:  Betsy Doyle button

Complete 30 activities:  Nikola Tesla button

Complete 40 activities:  Harriet Tubman button

Complete the entire book:  Earn your official Jr. Ranger badge.
